Please note that the frozen dough balls won’t spread quite as much as when baked immediately, but they will still be delicious. When ready to bake, place directly from the freezer onto a parchment lined baking sheet and into the hot preheated oven. Then transfer to an air tight container until you want to bake them. Place the dough balls on a piece of wax paper in the freezer and freeze for 1 hour. To freeze, form the dough into balls as instructed in the recipe card. You can bake these cookies right away without chilling or you can freeze the dough balls for later. If you use the measuring cup to scoop out the flour you will end up with up to 25% more flour, which will greatly impact this recipe, and likely will result in cookies that don’t spread.
